Orientation
CAEN
Caen’s train station and youth hostel are relatively far from the centre-ville (1km and 3km, respectively). Ambitious travelers can walk from the station, but it’s best to take the tram or bus to and from the hostel. Trams stop running just after midnight, so plan accordingly. The two tram lines, And B, leave from the train station and cut through the centre-ville; take either line to St-Pierre (5min.). The St-Pierre stop is on bld. des Alliés, which intersects avenue du 6 Juin and rue Saint-Jean. These parallel streets run toward the centre-ville and border the lively districts between rue Saint-Pierre and rue de l’Oratoire.
