CASSIS
Cassis is extremely walkable. Before you know it, you will have walked its circumference about 200 times. The main port is bounded by the marina (quai des Baux, St. Pierre, and JJ Barthelemy). Ave. Victor Hugo is the main drag here, and leads to the centre-ville, as well as an array of cheaper bars and restaurants. Rue de l’Arene takes you East towards the secluded beaches; residents appear to preserve to keep those to themselves, because a series of signs point all the tourists West instead, towards the Calenquesand more popular beaches. There is one bus from the gare to the main stop in front of the Casino on rue.de l’Arene, putting you right in the middle of the calmer side of town. The closer you get to the port and to the beaches, the higher the prices will be.
