LA CIOTAT

The town is divided into two main areas: the Vieux Port, and the Beaches. The Vieux Port is cluttered with restaurants, cafes, and bars as well as an expensive hotel or two; bring your parents or their credit cards. Getting to the main bus stop from the SNCF trains station requires a bus (#10 or 40, €1), which runs frequently from 6am-8pm. It will take you past the beaches on ave. President Wilson and ave. Roosevelt (Party in the USA) until the tourist office, which is at the dividing line between the two areas. North of the beaches is the ave. Guillaume Dulac, which has some bars and mostly bakeries and markets; the #20 bus runs by this neighborhood, as well as the campgrounds on the city’s outskirts. On the other side of the Vieux Port are the calanques and Parc du Mugel, and access to Île Vert.
