VERSAILLES

Versailles is a blessing for the navigationally challenged. In the middle of the place d’Armes sits the massive Château de Versailles, with avenue de Paris extending from the center. Crossing av. de Paris is avenue de l’Europe, which leads to the train stations Rive Droite and Rive Gauche (corresponding to the terminus locations in Paris). Av. de l’Europe also crosses through place de Notre Dame, where you can find banks, a large open air market, and cheaper creperies. For a daytrip, you won’t go beyond the two avenues, whose intersection holds the tourist office.
