If you want a nice hike around Heppenheim whilst learning abut the
wine culture, pick up an English-language map of the UNESCO Geo-Naturpark Bergstrasse
(titled Adventure Trail Wine and Rocks). If you’re lucky enough to come by in the week
between June and July, you’ll witness a rollicking wine festival, the Bergstrasser
Weinmarkt, on the permises.
