WEIMAR

A series of open squares strung together by side streets make up Weimar’s city center, which contains most of the sights. From the train station, Carl-Ausust-Allee stretches downhill past the Neues Museum to Karl-Liebknect-Str., which leads into Goethepl. From there, Theaterpl. is down Wielandstr. to the left, and the Marktpl. is a short walk from Theaterpl. down Schillerstr. Winding streets that intersect at odd angles and change names frequently can make the city difficult to navigate without a map—pick one up at a tourist office ( €0.20).
