Orientation

Stratford-upon-Avon is best explored by foot. The train station is located to the west of town but is within easy walking distance of the heart of the downtown. The River Avon runs alongside the town, bordering the Royal Shakespeare theaters, and tempts visitors into boat rides and peaceful walks. Wood Street and Bridge Street are the busiest streets in the town center.
