Orientation

Ios Town and Mylopotas Beach are the two main hubs of activity on the island. The town is a 10min. drive from the port, and Mylopotas lies on the main road between them. Small Ios Town is set up on a terraced hillside; narrow, winding streets run along its slope. The main nightlife stretch (most easily found by following the music), is in the area surrounding the main square. To get there, enter through the archway from the big parking lot in front of town. Make the first left, then the first right, and follow the curve in the road. Ios Town and Mylopotas Beach are about 25min. apart by foot, and less than 10min. by bus. To get to Mylopotas Beach from town, follow the main road to the right when looking at the big blue-roofed church at the entrance to town.
