ISLE OF CAPRI
Overview
Capri is a rare place whose real-life beauty outweighs even the most carefully planned photographs and tourist-office-issued descriptions. Approaching the island, visitors are struck by impossibly blue water, bright orange barnacles, dense green brush, and stalagmite-filled caves and grottoes. On the island itself, main piazze are filled with tourists buying limoncello and painted ceramics, but if you stray even one street away you’ll find quiet residential areas. Most of Capri is free of humanity, though, making it a perfect place to enjoy nature.
