ISLE OF CAPRI

The Isle of Capri consists of two towns: Capri, closer to the port, and Anacapri, higher up and farther west. Accessible by a long uphill climb or a quick funicular ride, Capri is centered on Piazza Umberto I. Radiating from here, the main streets are Via Roma, Via Vittorio Emanuele III (designer shops), Via Le Botteghe, and Via Longano (mostly restaurants). The uphill bus ride to Anacapri will drop you off in Piazza Vittoria, the town’s center. Most of the action is along Via Giuseppe Orlandi, which is full of restaurants, merchants, and other attractions.
