Great Outdoors

There are three main beaches in Cascais, all side by side near the city center. Praia da Ribeira, the westernmost, is small but the most centrally located (right next to the Pr. 5 de Outubro), and it tends to get packed. |Praia da Rainha is also small, but it has interesting and beautiful rock formations that make it seem like a wild, undiscovered coastline, with hiding places and coves behind every boulder. It tends to attract a younger crowd and is better for socializing than swimming. Praia da Conceição, east of both other beaches, is much larger and looks like any other beachgoer-filled shoreline.
