Beaches Alicante’s Playa del Postiguet is just a stumble away from the casco antiguo, located directly across from the Ajuntament and running by the base of the mountain. The picturesque beach is a fan favorite and always crowded during the summer months, but it’s usually possible to find a spot to plant your umbrella. Restaurants, ice cream shops, and makeshift tents line the Esplanada just minutes away, leaving the consumer world at the fingertips of swimmers and sunbathers. To get a little further away from civilization (and the crowds and litter that accompany it), consider taking the TRAM out to the more tranquil Playa de Sant Joan or Playa del Mutxavista.
