CORDOBA
Overview
If you spent centuries under Moorish rule as the capital of the
Western world, you’d have a bit of a complex, too. It may be over 700 years since Córdoba
was held to such high acclaim, but this city continues to maintain its individuality from
the surrounding Andalucian region. You’ll find yourself experiencing thousands of years of
history and learning about Jewish, Islamic, Roman, and Catholic cultures as you make your
way through the alleyways of La Juderìa. You’ll fill your belly with the classics of the
cocina cordobes (Córdoban kitchen) while you sip an infused tea. You’ll relax in an
ancient Arab bath to rest up before a night on the town in one’s of Avandia de America’s
massive clubs. Córdoba combines a slew of interests that you’d never expect as the
highlights of this historic city: the classic patios decorated with stunning tiles,
plants, and fountains, the traditional and modern guitar music resonating throughout the
city, and the slew ofXimenez grapes that produce the sweet wines of the region. Córdoba
may have fallen from massive international attention, but don’t worry, it’s not bitter.
You’ll still receive the warm hospitality of a city packed with sights, activities, and
good eats.
