CORDOBA
While the northern part of the city is fairly modern, the southern section, especially La Judería, is plagued by ancient, inconvenient street planning. You’ll find most of your historic sights packed into this Jewish Quarter, including the top dogs like the Mezquita and the Alcazar. Calle San Fernando runs from the Guadelquivir River up between two of the main plazas of the city, Plaza Corredera and Plaza de las Tendillas. Plaza Corredera is packed with outdoor patio restaurants open late, and you’ll find all your commercial and shopping needs, an information office, multiple pharmacies and ATMs, as well as a few restaurants and desserteries in and around Plaza de las Tendillas. Geographically and socially, this plaza is a city center.
