Last Wednesday evening, as the sun set over the Aegean, I sat on a patio and watched a couple glum-looking guys strum guitars. It was disappointing. There I was, at the magnificent Della Rocca Barozzi castle in Naxos Town, at one of the family’s seasonal Sunset Concerts of Naxian traditional folk music, and there was very little to get excited about.
