Located only a 30-minute train ride from Barcelona Sants Station, this white-washed, wind-swept costal paradise has the best beaches in the region with none of that towel-to-towel business you’ll find see at the more packed beaches.
Spend the day admiring the twinkling turquoise water and tanning on one of the 17 white sand beaches. Sitges is often called the “Spanish Saint-Tropez,” and for good reason. The ones closer to the center have facilities such as showers, toilets, and bars, but the secluded beaches in coves are real beauties. Our favorites: Platja Sant Sebastía, and Platja de Terramar. There are also family and volleyball-friendly (Fragata), BGLTQ+ (Rodona), and nude (Balmains) beaches, so there’s something for everyone.
